Hello, wonderful community! Michelle here, Executive Director and Co-founder of We Hike to Heal.
As the days grow longer and we approach the Summer Solstice, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. This time of year always brings a sense of renewal and celebration, and this year is particularly special for us.
Nine Years of Outdoor Journal Tour
We are proud to celebrate the ninth anniversary of our parent organization, the Outdoor Journal Tour. Since its inception, OJT has been dedicated to promoting mental, physical, and spiritual wellness through outdoor experiences. Over the past nine years, OJT has inspired countless individuals to step outside, explore nature, and find healing and empowerment in the great outdoors. We are honored to be a part of this incredible journey and look forward to many more years of adventure and growth!
Reflecting on Our Journey and Looking Ahead
This year, we made the difficult decision to cancel our large events to focus on critical fundraising efforts. This decision was not made lightly, but it is necessary to ensure that we can continue to support our community and expand our reach. Fundraising is the backbone of our ability to offer transformative experiences, and we are committed to strengthening this foundation.
Save the Date: Summer Campout 2024
In honor of these milestones, we are thrilled to announce that our annual summer campout is moving to the Summer Solstice weekend next year. Mark your calendars for June 20-22, 2025, for an unforgettable experience of community, connection, and celebration. The campout will include guided hikes, meditation sessions, workshops, and plenty of opportunities to connect with the We Hike to Heal community.
How You Can Support Us
Your support is more critical than ever. Here are some ways you can help:
- Donate: Every contribution, no matter the size, helps us continue our mission.
- Volunteer: We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our team.
- Spread the Word: Share our mission with your friends and family to help us grow our community.
As we celebrate these milestones, we are reminded of the power of community and the healing potential of nature. Together, we can continue to inspire and support each other on our journeys towards wellness and self-discovery.
With gratitude,
Michelle Jackson-Saulters
