Please join for an opportunity to enjoy nature, embrace self care and build community.
Women and those who want to empower women are invited to join!
We will meet at the parking lot of the Amicalola Falls State Park Lodge (not the visitor center – follow signs for the lodge). We will embark on a moderately hard hike that is part of the Appalachian Trail! The hike will be an out-and-back hike totaling 9.4 miles through creeks and lush wilderness. The turn around point will be at the Len Foote Inn (a unique hike-Inn for thru hikers). At the Len Foote in there are bathrooms and a place to fill up your water bottles as well. We will take a break for guided meditation and reflection before heading back to Amicalola Falls. The hike will take about 5 hours in total.
Amicalola Falls is a Georgia State Park which is $5 for entry (you can pay at the gate on the way in). Please be sure to bring plenty of water, snacks and maybe even a small lunch. Hiking boots or trail running shoes are recommended. If you are used to hiking with poles they may be useful to you as well 🙂
Please feel free to reach out prior to the event if you have questions about what to pack!
