DESCRIPTION:Join Asheville We Hike to Heal Ambassador\, Kelly\, for this FREE Women’s Mindful Hike!\n\n\nOur mission at We Hike to Heal is to build an inclusive community that normalizes self care\, creates a sacred space for healing and adventure\, and prioritizes the mental and emotional wellbeing of all women. Because we believe that when women thrive\, the world thrives. \nThis is the sixth event in a series of FREE mindful hikes for women. We welcome all fitness levels. Our goal is to enjoy the journey. \nThis hike features Bearwallow Mountain in Gerton\, NC. We’ll hike for a bit and stop for a guided meditation along the way. Then we’ll stop at the top of the mountain for some mindfulness and journaling before returning to the trailhead. \nThis loop trail is rated as moderate\, 2 miles in length with 574 feet of elevation change. Learn more about the trail here.  \n**IMPORTANT!  WE ARE MEETING AT INGLES\, 3643 HOWARD GAP ROAD IN HENDERSONVILLE AT 8:15 AM AND CARPOOLING TO THE TRAIL. The CARPOOL location is approximately 35 minutes from Asheville\, NC; one hour from Greenville\, SC. Parking is limited at the trailhead. Please arrive early to Ingles and carpool\, if possible. \nAmbassador Contact Info: Kelly Bruce \nEmail: kelly@naturalwanders.us \nTime: Plan to arrive at 8:15am at Ingles with 8:30am departure and 9am arrival at the trailhead. Please be punctual.  \nLocation/Directions: We will meet and carpool from Ingles\, 3643 Howard Gap Road in Hendersonville at 8:15am\, depart at 8:30am and arrive at the trailhead at 9am. \nDifficulty level/Distance: 2 miles on a moderate\, loop trail (574 feet of elevation gain). \nRestroom Facilities: There are no restrooms at the trailhead. Please meet us at Ingles\, allowing time to use the restroom before we depart at 8:30am. \nWhat you will need for this hike: \n\nPlenty of water to drink (we recommend at least 1 liter)\nLunch or snacks to eat at the waterfall\nComfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers with good traction\nComfortable moisture wicking clothing (i.e. workout clothes) and layers to keep you warm\nA towel or cushion to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground\nTrekking poles or any other items that would make your hike more comfortable\nYour journal and something to write with\nA daypack/backpack to carry all your items\n\nPlease review the liability waiver here and be prepared to acknowledge and accept at sign in for your event. \n*If you can’t make it\, please CANCEL your registration so your ticket can be released. This event will sell out at 25 guests due to limited parking. \nThis event is for women identified folks 18 and older only.* WH2H Group hikes are free events and our Ambassadors are unpaid volunteers.
