DESCRIPTION:Join Middle Georgia We Hike to Heal Ambassador\, Pam for this FREE Women’s Group Hike!\n\n\nWe’ll be hiking the Hitchiti Trail\, which is a 2-4 mile trail just 75 miles southwest of Atlanta and 20 miles north of Macon. This is a moderate hike with beautiful views. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey\, we are never in a race!  This trail is more rough and tumble than our “normal” trails with some fallen trees to go over\, a couple of rocky areas\, and overgrowth on each side.  I have done this trail with trekking poles but it is more difficult for those with mobility issues. Because we believe that when women thrive\, the world thrives. \nThis is the fifth event in a series of FREE mindful hikes for women. We will incorporate more distance and elevation as the year goes on. Come to one hike or join us for all! We welcome all fitness levels. Our goal is to enjoy the journey. \nThis hike features Bridalveil Falls in DuPont State Forest. We’ll hike for a bit and stop for a guided meditation along the way. Then we’ll stop at the waterfall for lunch and dip our toes in the water to cool off before returning to the trailhead. \nThis out-and-back trail is rated as a moderate trail\, 4.5 miles in length with 344 feet of elevation change. The trailhead is approximately one hour from Asheville\, NC; one hour and 15 minutes from Greenville\, SC. Parking is limited. Because we believe that when women thrive\, the world thrives. \nThis is the third event in a series of FREE mindful hikes for women. We will incorporate more distance and elevation as the year goes on. Come to one hike or join us for all! We welcome all fitness levels. Our goal is to enjoy the journey. \nThis hike features Holly Road to Hooker Falls in DuPont State Forest. We’ll start with a guided meditation\, hike 1.8 miles through the forest taking breaks along the way\, and do a little journaling and/or swimming at the base of Hooker Falls before hiking 1.8 miles back. \nHolly Road to Hooker Falls trail is rated as a beginner trail\, 3.6 miles in length with 324 feet of elevation change. The trailhead is approximately 53 minutes from Asheville\, NC; one hour and 10 minutes from Greenville\, SC. Parking is limited.
