DESCRIPTION:Join Middle Georgia We Hike to Heal Ambassador\, Pam\, for this FREE Women’s Group Hike!\n\n\nWe’ll be hiking the multi-use trail at Indian Springs State Park which is a 2-4 mile trail just 37 miles NW of Macon and 57 miles SE of downtown Atlanta. This is a moderate to easy hike with beautiful views along the way. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey\, we are never in a race! \nOnce we reach our halfway point\, we’ll plan to take a break to catch our breath\, enjoy the view and do a little gratitude journaling! \nAmbassador Contact Info: \nEmail:  centralga@wehiketoheal.org \nPhone: 478-284-9666 (feel free to text or call) \nTime: 9:45am (please be punctual!) \nLocation/Directions: Indian Springs State Park 678 Lake Clark Road Flovilla\, GA 30216 (this will get you to the park but we will be meeting in the grassy parking area just outside the park\, see below for coordinates) \nGPS location coordinates: 33.24491044515475\, -83.92124672840369 \nParking: There is a grassy parking area to the left of the park entrances at the multi-use trailhead\, we will meet there (we encourage carpooling.)  There is a $10 fee to park.  You can pay this using a QR code in the parking area\, at the visitor center\, or using a Georgia State Parks parking pass. \nDifficulty level/Distance: Moderate to easy/2 miles \nRestroom Facilities: There are restroom facilities inside the park\, walking distance from where we will park. \nWhat you will need for this hike: \n\nPlenty of water to drink! DESCRIPTION:Join us for a mindful hike in Pisgah National Forest! We’ll enjoy a guided meditation\, hike to a waterfall\, and enjoy spring wildflowers!\n\n\nJoin Asheville We Hike to Heal Ambassador\, Kelly\, for this FREE Women’s Mindful Hike! \nOur mission at We Hike to Heal is to build an inclusive community that normalizes self care\, creates a sacred space for healing and adventure\, and prioritizes the mental and emotional wellbeing of all women. Because we believe that when women thrive\, the world thrives. \nThis is the first event of 2026 in a series of FREE mindful hikes for women. The hikes will increase in mileage and elevation throughout the summer. Come to one hike or join us for all! We welcome all fitness levels. Our goal is to enjoy the journey. \nThis hike features Moore Cove Falls in Pisgah National Forest. This trail features a variety of spring wildflowers and views of the creek. We’ll hike for a little bit then stop for a guided meditation. Then we’ll continue our hike to the waterfall for some mindful moments and journaling before returning to the trailhead. \nThis out-and-back trail is rated as beginner\, 1.3 miles in length with 183 feet of elevation change. NOTE: there are a couple series of stairs throughout this trail – if you suffer from any pain or injuries\, please bring hiking poles and listen to your body. Learn more about the trail here. The trailhead is approximately 42 minutes from Asheville\, NC; one hour and 30 minutes from Greenville\, SC. Parking is limited. Please arrive early to the Pisgah Ranger Station/Visitor Center and carpool. \nAmbassador Contact Info: Kelly Bruce \nEmail: kelly@naturalwanders.us \nTime: Arrive at the Pisgah Ranger Station/Visitor Center at 8:30am with 8:45am departure. We’ll begin our hike at the trailhead at 9am. Please be punctual. The trailhead parking lot fills up early\, especially on weekends\, so we will carpool from the ranger station. \nLocation/Directions: The Pisgah Ranger Station/Visitor Center is located at 1600 Pisgah Highway\, Pisgah Forest\, NC 28768. \nDifficulty level/Distance: 1.3 miles on a beginner\, out-and-back trail (183 feet of elevation gain). \nRestroom Facilities: There are restrooms at the visitors center\, but none at the trail. \nWhat you will need for this hike: \n\nPlenty of water to drink (we recommend at least 1 liter)\nSnacks and any medications needed\nComfortable hiking shoes/boots or sneakers with good traction\nComfortable moisture wicking clothing (i.e. workout clothes) and layers\nA towel or cushion to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground\nTrekking poles or any other items that would make your hike more comfortable\nYour journal and something to write with\nA daypack/backpack to carry all your items\n\nPlease review the liability waiver here and be prepared to acknowledge and accept at sign in for your event. \n*If you can’t make it\, please CANCEL your registration so your ticket can be released.
