We Hike to Heal – Flovilla, GA FREE Women’s Group Hike

We’ll be hiking the multi-use trail at Indian Springs State Park which is a 2-3 mile trail just 40 miles north of Macon and 57 miles southeast of Atlanta. This is a easy to moderate hike with beautiful views along the way. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race!

Once we reach about midway through the hike, we’ll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do a little gratitude journaling!

Location/Directions: 678 Lake Clark Road Flovilla, GA 30216 will get you to the park but we will be meeting in the grassy parking area at the multi-use trailhead which is next to the park entrance. The below coordinates will take you to the trailhead.

Parking: Parking fee is $5, this can be paid at the kiosk at the trailhead, at the visitor center in the park, or online. You can also use your Georgia State Park Parking Pass.

Difficulty level/Distance: (EASY/MODERATE)/(2-3 miles, this will be determined by those in attendance)

Restroom Facilities: There are restrooms inside the park entrance

What you will need for this hike:

• Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
• Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun
• Tick repellant
• Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
• Comfortable moisture wicking clothing – workout clothes work just fine!
• A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
• A towel to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground
• Your journal and a pen
