We Hike to Heal Free Women’s Hike + Journaling and Meditation – Wilmington

Join us for a Women’s hike series for the long weekend! Each Day a new location and trail.

Time: 10 AM

Friday: Blue Ball Barn – Wilmington DE

Saturday: Middle Run Valley Park – Newark, DE

Sunday: Blackbird State Forest – Smyrna DE

This Friday We will hike the Blue Ball Barn to Brandywin Creek within Alapocas Run Park. This is a 4 mile trail with an estimate of 2 hours walking time.

This is a moderate hike with beautiful views and some hills. We welcome all fitness levels to join us; the goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race!

Once we reach a gathering point, we’ll plan to take a break to catch our breath, enjoy the view and do a meditative breathwork session.

Parking: Parking at the Barn available. We are in the parks off-season, no parking fees) (we encourage carpooling!)

Restroom Facilities: There are restrooms within the Blue Ball barn and port-o-potties along the Brandywine.

What you will need for this hike:

• Plenty of water to drink! (we recommend at least 1-3 liters)
• Hat to stay warm and protect you from the sun
• Comfortable hiking shoes/boots or trail sneakers
• Comfortable moisture wicking clothing – workout clothes work just fine!
• A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
• A towel to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground
• Your journal and a pen
