We Hike to Heal – Pisgah Forest, NC, FREE Women’s Mindful Hike

June 7 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm EDT
Free
Join Asheville-area We Hike to Heal Ambassador, Kelly Bruce, for a FREE Women’s Mindful Hike through Pink Beds in Pisgah National Forest.

Our mission at We Hike to Heal is to build an inclusive community that normalizes self care, creates a sacred space for healing and adventure, and prioritizes the mental and emotional wellbeing of all women. Because we believe that when women thrive, the world thrives.

This is the third event of 2026 in a series of FREE mindful hikes for women. The hikes will increase in mileage and elevation throughout the summer. Come to one hike or join us for all! We welcome all fitness levels. Our goal is to enjoy the journey.

This hike features the Pink Beds Loop in Pisgah National Forest. We’ll hike, stop for a guided meditation, hike a bit more, then pause for some mindful moments and journaling by the creek before returning to the trailhead.

This loop trail is rated as beginner, 3.2 miles round trip with 337 feet of elevation change.

NOTE: there are a couple inclines/declines throughout this trail. While the grade is relatively gentle, there’s an abundance of exposed roots resulting in technical footing. Hiking poles are advised if balance or ankle mobility is a concern. If you suffer from any pain, injuries, or illness, please consult with your physician and listen to your body to decide if you should join this hike. Learn more about the trail* here. *We will do the short loop, taking the Barnett Branch Trail connector to shave off some milage from the full 5.3 mile loop.
