We’ll be hiking the Little Si trail near North Bend, WA . This is a moderately challenging hike (3.7 miles round trip, with an elevation gain of 1300 feet). The route has a dirt trail, with some rocky and steep sections. (https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/little-si).
We welcome a range of fitness levels to join us; we can pause to rest along the way. The goal is to enjoy the journey, we are never in a race! That said, please assess your level of comfort with a more challenging hike and make a thoughtful decision about participating.
We’ll meet near the trail head (look for the We Hike to Heal banner/t-shirt!) where we will get to know each other a bit, then begin our hike. At the top, we’ll pause to sit, enjoy the view, meditate and journal, and connect with each other.
Time: 10:30-3:30pm (please budget some time for parking so we can gather at 10:30)
Location/Directions: Little Si trailhead, 44030 SE Mount Si Rd, North Bend, WA 98045
Parking: There is a main lot and an overflow lot.
Difficulty level/Distance: MODERATE / about 3.7 miles, with 1300 feet elevation change
Restroom Facilities: There is a pit toilet at the trailhead (BYO hand sanitizer!).
What you will need for this hike:
- Plenty of water to drink and lunch and/or a snack
- A rain jacket and/or sun hat/sunscreen (depending on the weather)
- Comfortable hiking/walking/running shoes or sneakers
- Comfortable clothing – workout clothes work just fine!
- A bag/backpack to carry all your items
- A towel or something to sit on if you’re uncomfortable sitting on the ground
- A journal (or paper) and a pen
